Description
All stainless steel Scharfenberger EHP4000 Europress (YOM 2001). Capacity for 3T whole fruit, 9T de-stemmed or crushed and 13T fermented must.

Inbuilt vacuum pump with two functions (pre blower and vacuum pump).

Incorporated compressor.

Fully refurbished with overhauled drive parts (chains and cogs), bearings, motors, all new electronics, security cables, safety switches, vacuum pump, compressor and solenoids.

New membrane and new piping and tubing.

Entirely new switchboard, wiring and electrical circuitry, with modern PLC display/touchpad.

This is essentially a new press in the old model style.

Purchased in 2022 but it arrived from Germany after vintage so wasn't used. Processed 20T in 2023, and was not used in 2024, so has barely been used.

Equipped with stainless steel hopper on independent underframe on wheels for full versatility.

Large volume press tray.

Press extensions up to 40cm.

Juice Tray extensions up to 40cm.

Runs on 400 Volt/50Hz 3-phase power.

User-friendly digital interface with inbuilt programs, or you can program your own. Excellent juice yields, very easy to use, and incredibly easy to clean. Just serviced by the Grapeworks/Tanium team (Scharfenberger importer) in December 2024.

Ben Haines Wine (BHW) was established in 2010 by Ben Haines, a viticulturist and winemaker now based in Ashton in the Piccadilly Valley, Adelaide Hills.

Originally from Adelaide, BHW has plans and approvals to plant its vineyard and develop its winery. BHW exports to the UK, USA, Asia and Scandinavia.

Having established himself in various regions of Victoria over the last 20 years including the Yarra Valley, Central Victoria and the Grampians, with experience also gained in France and the USA, Ben now produces premium cool climate styles from the Piccadilly Valley, and Mediterranean styles from vineyards in Blewitt Springs, McLaren Vale.

Ben is also a consultant, and stage 2 Master of Wine student.
