Pook Road is a boutique vineyard located on the eastern slopes of Mount Pleasant on the Heathcote Cambrian red soils, adjacent to Wild Duck Creek, Tyrells & Peregrine Ridge vineyards.
Formerly St Michaels vineyard, Pook Road dates back to 1995 when it was planned and planted by Mick Cann. In 2017 Mick began the transition from full-time winemaker, mentoring us in the art of Heathcote wine making.
While predominantly planted with Shiraz vines, Pook Road also grows Petit Verdot, Cabernet, Merlot and a small quantity of 'accidental' Sémillon.
All the wine we produce comes from our vineyard at Pook Road in Toolleen. We hand and machine-pick our grapes, and use open vat fermentation and oak barrel maturation to produce small-batch, boutique wines.
