As part of a small team who work closely together through all aspects of the business the Assistant Winemaker's main role is winery and laboratory work, including tastings and trials, cellar work, record keeping, bottling, and analysis. Additionally the Assistant Winemaker will work in the vineyard and contribute to sales and marketing activities. This role is 100 percent hands on.

We are looking for energetic and passionate people to join our Vintage 2019 team in the following roles: Cellar Hands Working across different parts of the winery, you will assist with a wide range of tasks, including transferring of juice and wine, crushing, pressing, clarification, and fermentation activities. Ideally you will have prior vintage or winery experience, however full training will be provided. Laboratory Assistants Working in our laboratory you will perform a wide range of routine analysis on juice and wine samples, while upholding the highest levels of accuracy and quality control. You will be able to run, calibrate and maintain all laboratory equipment and ensure records are kept up to date, including weighbridge and receival analysis. Prior winery laboratory or analytical experience will be highly regarded, but not essential as full training will be provided.

Greenock Creek Vineyard and Cellars
The original cellar door was opened in 1988 with just two wines, a Shiraz and a Chardonnay. Now grapes grown on the 21Ha vineyard include Shiraz, Cab Sauvignon, Mataro and Grenache with some of the vines in excess of 100 years old. Wine is only produced from grapes grown on the property and so the quantities available for sale each year is determined by the season.
