Cellar Hand / Laboratory Technician
Portavin Integrated Wine Services Sydney located in Minto, NSW is looking for a Cellar Hand/Laboratory Technician to join their Afternoon Shift team. Portavin is a contract wine bottling facility with total packaging coordination from bulk wine to packaged product. Our Sydney site specialises in table, fortified and sparkling packaging with our vision of Winemakers Bottling for Winemakers. We are ideally seeking an experienced Cellar Hand to carry out cellar operations in accordance with our policies and procedures under the supervision of Winemaker, Cellar Supervisor and/or Laboratory Supervisor. The Cellar Hand/Laboratory Technician is responsible for ensuring all wine is prepared and ready for bottling with no disruptions to schedule. Your duties will include unloading and loading tankers and flexible containers, transfers, filtration, additions, blending, warming and cooling operations. You will be meticulous about hygiene and carry out cleaning and sanitisation of equipment and machinery to procedure. You will be a good team player that contributes to our small team with great communication skills, integrity, adaptability and multi-skills. You will need to be flexible with hours for training and coverage of leave. Knowledge of basic wine analysis such as Alcohol, FSO2, TSO2, pH and TA would be favourable. Previous winery experience is desired and forklift license is beneficial but not critical. Position offered is permanent full-time.

Greenock Creek Vineyard and Cellars
